Guys i need some advice!

Im trying my hardest to get in protein but can never get in enough.
Im a super picky eater to begin with, and i have only found one protein drink i liked- premier pritein chocolate shakes. But i can only drink about half of one before i feel sick. Ive tried eating super chopped up chicken, but get full after 1.5 oz. Anyone have any advice for how im gonna get in my protein before my hair starts falling out!?

Also, if anyone has tried the unflavored protein powder and found one that really is flavorless please let me know!

I use Gene pro Medical grade protein powder.... And it is truly tasteless. I can put a full scoop in a single serve pudding and no difference in taste. mix well and no signs of it.... even if you only half mix it you see a little powder but no taste. 1 scoop is 30g of protein... Can be mixed with anything water to soup.... I put some in my crystal lite and cant taste the difference...

Like you I have always been a picky eater... I will use nothing else... can find it all over the net or in GNC.... Amazon has pretty good prices..... Hope that helps...

Thank you so much! Ill definitely try that out.

That's what I'm nervous about too. Have you lost any of your hair? Are you able to get in all the protein? I don't want the hair loss and I'm dreading the loose skin, Hopefully it won't happen, I can only wish. Good luck to you!
Find a protien you like weather it is a powder or a shake and after surgery just sip all the time it you'll get all your protein in... I use GenePro medical grade protein powder it is tasteless and can be mixed with anything hot or cold...

I have found a protein powder which is good and it's 30 grams per serving which is 11 ounces. I can sip on that all day, but then how do you get all the water in that they want you to get? They told me to try for 64 oz of water, plus 60-80 grams of protein. I found a good buy on it, so tried it and it is good.

Hi, I am allergic to sugar substitutes and have reduced my sugar intake. So I have researched trying to find protein powder without any at all and found that plain soy protein powder can be found without flavoring. Have you tried a Health Food Store and asked them for Plain Soy Protein Powder and you may want to contact Puritan Pride.com. Good Luck on your journey!

Hi, I would try small sips are drink 1/2 of what you are eating or drinking and perhaps another flavor might not have you feeling sick. Good luck on your journey.

How are you doing? Is it getting any better for you? I just had my surgery the 28th and came home yesterday, been so sick, can't get all the protein or water in. Hope we can figure this out.

I have to sip pretty much all day to get it all in. whether I'm thirsty or not.... I have mixing my protein powder with my food to try and limit the amount of liquid..... So I dont do the shakes just the bene pro powder....

Yes I tried mixing my powder in cream of wheat today, took a long time to eat it and trying to get water in. But I got to get in at least 30 grams more protein. It's hard being in so much pain and I just want to sleep. I don't feel any different in weight, hopefully get off what the hospital put on me soon.

I think I slept a lot the first few day I was home after surgery.... Pain lightens up and then you will get your self into a routine... It took a few days for me to even think about starting my walking again.... I went slow when I did start walking tho.... Now I can walk miles and I'm ok....

Thank you for writing back to me, I have been trying to walk back and forth and around my house, but really want to go to sleep and make the pain go away. Did you have a lot of pain on your left side? Mine just hurts so bad when I try and get up or when I walk, I hold a pillow close to my side. Don't know what it is, but if it would go away I would feel so much better. Hope everyone is doing well.

I did have mostly when I would sit up from a laying position, or just sat to long in a regular sitting position.... I slept a bunch To allow my self to heal up some.... and took the meds they gave me when I needed it... I started walking a few days after, a very slow walk.... It will get better just don't over do it, or it will take longer... When I got up from laying down i'd roll to my right side and slowly push myself up with my right arm if my wife wasn't right there... Hope you feel better soon...

I guess that has been where I have been over doing it because I have been trying to walk since I got home, when I'm just so tired and want to sleep. I have a hard time trying to roll to my right side because it feels like my left side is ripping open. I did just get a hold of my surgeon and he want's me to try icing because he thinks I have an irritated muscle there. Plus he changed my pain meds and added flexeral so hopefully this combination is going to work. Here's to I hope a better day. Thank you for telling me your experience.

I bought a whey protein powder from Amazon.com that has only one ingredient (protein powder only, no sugar). The one I have is called Naked Whey, it comes in a large container so it will last quite a while.

Is that protein tasteless? Thanks

I haven't used it since my surgery, but when I was using it I had it mixed with milk, banana, and almond butter. I couldn't taste it then, but with the almond butter I probably wouldn't have tasted much else. Since my surgery I have been using the Bariwise protein shakes and drinks. But I need to increase my protein levels so I was thinking of going back onto this protein mix. It has 30 g of protein per scoop.
