One pound at a time.

It seems like every week, another trendy weight loss beverage is making headlines... I've recently noticed apple cider vinegar taking the wave.

From what I have been able to gather, apple cider vinegar is made from crushed apples combined with yeast and bacteria for fermentation. Some alternative medicine experts are saying the acidic substance is a miracle diet remedy, saying that downing 1 tablespoon per day can help you drop a few pounds fast.

I've been contemplating trying this... Just seeing if anyone has had any luck with this, or if there are any concerns being on a bariatric diet. From what I can find, only those suffering from diabetes should check with there doctor before taking it (due to regulating blood sugar).

It doesn't seem like there are too many negative effects though.

Any comments regarding this approach are greatly appreciated.

Happy Monday :)

send your Dr. an email about what he or she thinks before you start on any different diet, i would be afraid to get stomach ulcers, form this but im not a dr. either

I looked into it and it appears ACV can help with some forms of ulcers (not all I'd imagine). Definitely something I would talk to my doctor first before pursuing.

I had just seen a lot of friends posting about it on social media and figured and see if anyone on here has tried it, and if so what the results were.

It certainly is interesting.

Jeff, you would have to take a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar a day. Ummm...gross! I would gag, I'm pretty sure the smell of the vinegar would gag me before actually taking it. I am interested to know if it works, but if the taste couldn't be masked somehow...ewww...lol!

I also understand one of the latest crazes is to add charcoal to your drink and have 1 tablespoon a day. That when it hits the belly it absorbs lost of gunk and helps clean things up and eventually works towards weight loss. That would be okay, charcoal is tasteless in a drink, I made black lemonade for Halloween last year and you couldn't taste any of it. :)
