I'm about 5 weeks post op and I just feel horrible. I have absolutely no energy, I'm fatigued and haven't really been able to eat anything without feeling uncomfortable. I was admitted to the hospital and they said my iron level is like anemic level.. Please I'm miserable and idk what to do.

Iron gives you energy so hopefully they will get that up and you will gain more energy as the weight comes off, just do what they tell you and you will work thru this, we all go through these times when we are tired but then we think about the end game and we keep on going, I know you are having a tough time right now but it will get better, you can do it

I feel the same way. I have a severe lack,of energy, i have a very hard time getting my protien and fluids in. Im 4 weeks post op and ive been miserable since day 1! My dr says the weakness is due to dehydration. I am super frustrated that i feel like im suffering daily and im not even losing weight. My dr says i should be losing 4 to 6 lbs a week but doesnt know why im,not which doesnt make me feel very confident either. My stomach is very picky as well so finding foods to eat is a chore. Ill pray we both get better!

Even long after my surgery I still drink shakes if I feel my protein levels are low, I also eat beef jerky for snacks or a meal lol, I'm not saying you should eat beef jerky because it is high in salt, but these are just suggestions, the more water and protein you eat the more the lbs start dropping good luck, and try to think positive, the more stressed you are the more lbs you hold onto, if you feel yucky get up and take a long slow walk, if you keep moving you will feel great

Like you, I was miserable the first few weeks after surgery. I found out I was anemic and was taking a medicine for nightmares that ended up being blood pressure medicine. My blood pressure was dangerously low. Once I started taking enough iron and got off the blood pressure med, I began feeling a lot better and was able to concentrate on my diet and walking for strength training. Get that anemia under control and get your protein and fluids in. Hopefully you will feel like a new person.
