Hello, my name is Jill and I am just beginning my journey.

Hello Jill and welcome to the group :) You are going to do great. We have a great group of knowledgeable and insightful people here. Always happy to offer what advise we might have.

Hi, I'm Jill and I'm just starting my journey.
Hi
I am 6 weeks into this journey and it has been tough I can't eat or keep the protein shakes down now but I did buy the zero calorie vitamin waters for fluids I have to go back to doctor so I guess they will pump protein in me! Does anyone have a air like pressure in their esophagus?

Sometimes the weird feeling in the throat is caused by a prescribed PPI, like and acid blocker for example. Usually, if you drink warm liquids it will help open things up and become more receptive to things your eating and drinking.

Hi Jill. I am just 3.5 weeks post-open. I am still in the learning phase. But glad I did this :)
Hi Jill, my name is Mary and I to am new on this journey. I'm about six weeks post-op and I'm still having problems feeling full fast, the food seems to just stay in my chest area I feel it sliding and as it moves up and then slids more. I know this will pass and all Will get better. So hold on and don't give up.

For me that air-like pressure means "I'm full" it also sort of feels like I need to burp. I have learned that once I feel that, I need to stop eating or drinking right then and there. Not one more bite, maybe a very small sip of water but mostly just stop and wait a while. You are right to check with your doctor, there can be some complications that might need to be addressed. Hang in there! I'm pulling for you. We can all support each other. :)
