Hi everyone. I'm about 6 months out on the 13th and wanting to know if anyone out there has meet the 100 pound weight loss point and how long did it take you? Also, needing a little encouragment about not resorting back to old eating habits. I know my fiance means well, but keeps saying you can have that look how much weight you've lost. Need a easy way to say please don't do that. Any suggestions?

I've lost 58 before surgery and 86 after surgery for a total of 144 lbs. I have 14 more to reach goal, now learning the maintenance part which is sometimes scary because it's easy to resort to old habits that's why I weigh myself every day, it's helps me to cut back because it's easier to lose a couple of pounds verses 20 pounds. some say I've lost enough. Be proud of your accomplishments.

Ask him if he wants you to put the weight back on...if so, to what end? Remind him that it can be habit forming. Hard to break. Tell him you love your snoogums but you love you too.

I'll be at 6 months post op next week and I'm at a loss of 90lbs so far, but really wasn't focused on the loss more than the healing, which seems to take so long! I hope to hit a loss of 100 before the year is over, but not sure I'll make it. I think a gentle reminder to your loved one that you have a goal for better health might give him the hint that you are trying to stay on track. :) I hope things get easier for you soon. :)

90 down way to go. Thank you for your reply, hope to meet that 100 mark as well before the year is out. What type of exercises are you doing?

I attend an Aqua Zumba class 4 days a week and I walk on an underwater treadmill 5-6 days a week. I started off really slow at 1.5 mph for 1/2 a mile but I've worked up to 3.0 mph for 2 miles. I just got approved to include strength training so I am looking for some weights I can use in the water to add into my schedule. :)
