have you had an appointment lately?

Had my 6 month appointment. It went great. I've lost over 80 lbs. I've also bet my goal that was set by the doctor. Has anyone else had an annual chechup?
Not yet for me. I go back in February for the six month checkup. I'm losing weight very slowly. I am considering going back to soft foods or even pureed. But I really need to think about it. Sometimes it gets on my nerves

Awesome Christine! Congrats on the loss and a great checkup! I just had my 6th month as well, think you and I are a week apart in our surgery dates :) Everything went really well for the most part. I've lost 94lbs so far which seems unreal to me. I have to meet with a nutritionist now, as I'm in the 2nd phase of recovery for the repair I had done along with the bypass and I get to dive into the world of what I can and can not eat going forward. I'm sure all the good stuff will be on the 'No' list. :( We'll see though o_O

Don't get discouraged. You are awesome. The weight will come off. Just keep going forward. If you go back to soft, how long will you do it? Did you have the sleeve of the bypass?

Hey Pixx thanks for the enthusiastic response. Congratulations to you on your great success as well. Keep up the good work.

I have done it for about five days. It's not easy but it didn't help either. I have been having issues with milk of magnesia not working for me. TrYing to think of alternatives. I think the weight isn't dropping cause I am so irregular. It may be time to talk to a doctor about it. I had the sleeve.

Have you tried Miralax. My nutritionists said I could use a double dose, that really help me. Plus it not an laxative, it works with the water in your body. Just a warning though, I tried the knock of brand, did not work as well for me. Hope this helps.

Well good luck with you appointment. I hope all goes well and you get the problem resolved. Let me know.
It seems like the strong laxative I was prescribed cleared my system out but it's been three days since then and nothing more. Gonna wait a couple more days before I complain. Maybe it was just what I needed.

Don't forget to drink lots of water.
Eww! Lol. Jk. I drink four 16oz bottles a day. Plus other things. Also the lax required that I drink 8oz per dose. Which adds up. I'm so goofy. I think the shakes are acquired. I wants another caramel one. I have to ask....when can I stop drinking the darn things?

Never? :p But I do think you get to slow down over time if you eat more protein throughout the day. I was told I would be supplementing my food intake with liquid protein for the rest of my life, at a minimum one shake, soup, or broth a day. I don't know if that applies to everyone or just me?

Hey Pixx did you have the bypass or sleeve. I supplement my diet with protein shakes everyday. Just find it is easier that way to get in my protein intake.

Excellent on the water intake. I really hope you are able to get going. Smile.

I will double check but I get the feeling you are right, that it applies to everyone. I think we don't absorb it like we used to. Just like the vitamins. Hence the supplements.
