did they mention to you anyting about drinking liquid protein shots they have 42 grams of protein this one is watermelon flavor I just like to turn it up & drink it,tired of tuna and chicken & cottage cheese, wondering if these are ok instead of those foods?what's weird is they say 180 cal. no sugar 2 carbs, so where are the calories comming from? weird,it's making me bonkers trying to find what to eat that is save . what are you choosing to eat?I made it 30 min on treadmill, & want to make myself do it several times a day maybe that will move the scales some, desperate donna here.

hi I saw surgeon, now the rest of the waiting game, they have to send more papers to insurance co. i have to loose 25 pounds due to my huge hernia's he said the more i loose before surgery the easier will be for healing cause once he tucks intestines in he said that push's the present fat up towards diaphram he said 2months he is booked up but I praying for miracle before that, & trying to loose those pounds as quick as possible. it will happen with God's help. donna

Thanks for being so kind,i am sorry for being such a prude about my mess i quess i honestly thought my journey was really going to start in may & not be told it could take up to 45 more days and then also wait for surgeon to have opening who knows when. hi , I'll just say Fri. was a disater didn't get to see surgeon due to office errors so now I have to go back next week, and they told me dr is booked up all of may for surgeries and is working on filling up june's list and that even though I was told before my first meeting etc that my insurance Medicare paid for this sugery that they still had to submit more papers and could take up to 45 daYS.I've cried and felt like my dreams were shattered fri, I I need strength to hold on one more day one more week, at at this time one more sec. did you ever feel that way while going through your process. sorry to be such a crump I feel childish even talking about my dilemna I have tried to stay so positive and I honestly thought I was going to go to dr and get my surgery the same month since I had did everything they dad required. oh well one more day to hang on to and keep tryi

hi how are you today? my day started out pretty good, then a phone call or 2 from my son brought about many issues and much stress, but that too will pass, sometimes I think being a "mom of a special needs child" is the hardest job I've ever had, somedays go well others just seem like no matter what you try to do to help them they either resent you or yell at you, you know what I mean? quess I should stop feeling sorry for myself and concentrate on being a better mom and getting my health in order so I can have this w/l surgery hopefully in may, I pray. I hope your day is going well, I must change my attitude and expect the day to get better.

I never had to go on the liquid diet and my surgery is May 4th. As for the diabetic meds, I guess I cant say, although I know I couldnt go off of them since I am insulin dependent, in fact I wear an insulin pump. I had most of my pancreas removed about 6yrs ago because of a tumor that left me insulin dependent. My surgeon is hopeful that I can stop using insulin once I have my surgery!

I was wondering,they said in the seminar I attended that they usually took diabetics off their meds 2 weeks prior to surgery while they were on the liquid diet has anyone experienced this? where there any problems?
