  • Hello Cynthia.

Congrats on the weight loss. How are you doing now?

I don't take chewable anything anymore. I probably should, but they fill me up and I hate it. So everything is swallowed. It seems I am absorbing better now. My bloodwork is fine. With the exception of having to take liquid potassium, I'm good. So I don't have any suggestions on chewable calcium citrate.

I had surgery in June 2009, a the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. Best thing I ever did.

A suggestion on the food quantities....ignore the 5 good meals a day. I graze. Every single successful WLS post-op friend I know of grazes. We have to. Our pouches are too small to hold the large quantities. I make a list of what I need to consume during the day. I have it all waiting for me. Throughout the day, I just eat when I want to. Sometimes I have to make myself and other times, I am famished and can't stop eating.

Let me know how you are doing!

    Take care,
    Letrell
Thanks for the note, Cynthia. I feel great most of the time. However, I have had my challenges. I lost too much weight and now have to gain some back. THAT is my biggest challenge.

No complications. Not even one. In August....2011, I got some pulled pork and cooscoos stuck in the entrance of my pouch. That was nasty. Spent the night in the hospital but it did flush itself out...after about 9 hours of drinking water and this nasty drink to have an MRI done. It passed as I was laying on the bed for the MRI. LOL. The surgeon was bummed. He wanted to see a stuck pouch. LOL. Sorry I could not accommodate him. He kept me over night just because I looked so tired.

I have issues with absorbing vitamins so I have to take way more than most people; however, if I take them as required, I feel great..if not..well, it's my choice and I won't whine about it.

    How about you?
