The great outdoors

Pat, you sound great!! I have not been on for a while, I am now at about 148#s but not eating very much, get full VERY fast, can eat 1/4 of a normal sandwich and I am so full! Also a full/ache feeling in my chest the moment I put something in my mouth so I think they are going to do an Esophogoscopy to see what may be causing this. I like the weight I lost but would love to enjoy a meal which I do not. I get a couple or three spoonfuls in and it is over, FULL! Oh well.
Hope you all are doing well. I know my doc is doing many more sleeves than Gastric Bypasses now. Simpler and good results. My spouse wants me to have things reconnected to see if I could eat a little more than I do now, I am not fun in a restaurant since I order the smallest things knowing it will mostly be left behind or taken home and French Fries etc are not good the next day :). I cannot even eat much ice cream or ice cream bar, I leave most of it behind.

I see that this is an old thread but what the heck. I love to camp. It has become unnecessary now that I literally live in the woods. Coyote run in my yard. Coons come on my porch deer eat my apples. I used to pack every thing and set up camp build fire all by myself. Now I don't have too but would like to be able to build my own little fire sit out and enjoy the sounds of the night. As of now I need help to sit on my deck and be one with the outdoors.
Absolutely love swimming well can't call it swimming just being in the water. It my sound odd to city folk but I have large fresh spring feed creeks surrounding me that's where I find peace privacy and joy. Weightless in the water! The water is very cold so it has to be near 100 outside in order to enjoy it. I snorkel around the rocks and find interesting fish rocks and things people in canoes have lost lol. But here we go I need help with every aspect of getting ready packed and to the creek bank. It's frustrating to ask fo help so I usually don't bother. Just stay home on my deck in my chair or in bed. I hope to be more independent. Next summer.

Being the city folk you speak of, we call camping "pretending to be homeless" lol But seriously, that spring sounds amazing. I also love the water and I cannot wait until it's warm enough to hit the beach. I have always gone but my cousin refused to go because she would not wear a bathing suit in public. No beach here, no beachy vacation spots; nada! She had the sleeve Dec 2019, And she went to Sanibel Island, Florida last week. So, just know that you can get to back to your creek MamaC. Hang in there.

I love camping! We have a seasonal camper that is open May-Sept. I can't wait for May 1st. Its only about half an hour from home but it really is my solace away from my crazy job. I usually head up Friday mornings and we come home Sunday evening. Rarely miss a weekend. I even went last year a day out from surgery for the weekend. We have friends there too so we spend time on the pontoon, tubing and just hanging out around the fire every night. I enjoy fishing but was never taught how to clean them so its a lot of catch and release for me.
