Hello, I am very happy to have found this website. My surgery is Nov. 9th and i I used to smoked and had to quit. During the time I had quit I didn't lose any weight so, he is making me do a 2 week pre-op meal replacement shakes. Nothing else....no jello, chicken both...just shakes. I am on day two my BS went from 258 to 117. I feel weak, headaches and dizzy . I hope that I can make it 12 more days. I really need this support because I do not have any family. I hope all yor hard work pays off...Take care!
Hey 1step!! Thanks for sweetest day greeting. You put a smile on my face. I've been trying to catch up on all the new posts as I have been out of town for a few days to attend my husbands grandfather's funeral. He was 97 so it wasn't a shock.
It was nice to see everyone, just wish people could make more of an effort to be together without it being over a funeral, ya know? Anywho - lots of stuff going on around this site isn't there? I'm glad it's mostly positive.
Yes, I would love to participate in a quilt block exchange...I need something to motivate me to get back upstairs to my sewing room! I have several quilts in progress that have been waiting for too long. Thanks for asking!
Hi, 1Step!! Thank you so much for your warmth and kindness. =) I hope you are having a fantastic day!!!
    I'm plugging along! Lol =)
Hey 1step! Having a pretty good day. It's hard to think about anything other than our upcoming surgery isn't it?
Me, me, me, me, me!!! I wanna play! The quilt block exchange sounds like sooo much fun. Thank you for picking up the torch, as it were. Will there be any guidance at all for color? Although I don't yet call myself a quilter, for sure I have a quilter's fabric stash! lol Yards upon yards of colors and patterns, including some suitable for fussy cutting. This is exciting!
The Appalachians are beautiful, I have been back east a few times and to Kentucky once. We have some nice golf courses here and all have wonderful views of Mt Shasta, I get out a few times a year, golfing has gotten easier but I can't blame my weight on how bad I play now:eek: I just play for fun anyways. Keep up the good work. Tom
Hi 1 Step that sounds like a wonderful time, it looks like you hav a fitness pal that can help you out along the way:D Keep on walking it will be a great benifit to you before and after surgery, it really helps in the healing prosses. You have such a magnificent place to live with Canada right next door just a ferry ride away. I live in a very small town nestled at the foothills of the Klamath Mountains of Northern California and we also have a nice view of Mt Shasta from almost anywhere we go around here. Tom
Please do. I'm still learning my way around this site and will add you as my first friend . . . just as soon as I figure out how to do it! Thank you much for the kind words.
