Hi Jjb, I'm glad you found your way to this online support group. I too am a artsy/crafty kind of gal. My craft is creating greeting cards using rubber stamps and other craft supplies. I also knit, crochet and dabble in painting. Isn't great that we can channel our inner most artful/crafty...

Hello Linda, congrats on your weight loss so far, you are doing great. I'm just the opposite of you....the extra skin under my arms makes me look like a bat getting ready for takeoff. LOL. I still have 45 or so more pounds to loose and will consider having skin removal surgery if warranted...
Welcome Robyn to the online support group and welcome back on track. I purchased a book on Amazon that deals with getting back on track after having weight loss surgery. It breaks things down. Congrats on deciding to reuse your tool. Please keep in touch.
Hi Sammysue76 I was sleeved back in September 2013 and it was the best decision I have ever made for "ME". I choose to have the surgery for myself, not my husband or other family members. I have found that by having the surgery I have improved my life and am healthier. I also have...
Hi Nanette,
I would think that as long as the jelly or preserves is "sugar free" and doesn't have any seeds like raspberry, you should be alright. To be sure I would contact your doctor's office.
Hi Sonja
Welcome to the online support group. How are you doing being a newbee 4 week post op sleeved patient? When do you or have you seen your doctor yet? How much weight have you lost. How are you fairing with the daily meals? Sorry about all the questions....
Great to hear Kathy that you are doing well after surgery. I almost forgot my before photo and had my hubby take a picture with his cellphone just before I was wheeled off to pre-op holding. Kudos for walking/hiking but don't over do it. You did after all just have surgery.
Christine don't worry about getting up and walking after surgery. That is one of the requirements in order to be released. They get you up and walking the same day. Going to Hawaii sounds great. I went to Maui when I was 16 and wouldn't mind going again some day. You should have the eating...
I'm glad you found a protein shake that you can tolerate for your 2 week protein shake diet. Remember, your taste buds may change after surgery.....to save money don't go over board purchasing protein drinks before surgery. I just tried the Premier Protein Vanilla powder with milk. I mixed it...
Hi Dalrae, congrats on your surgery date you have come a long way and now the real journey will begin. I'm 3 years post op and I'll tell you I would do it again in a heart beat. Being sleeved is the best thing that I've done for me! Just take it one day at a time and follow your post op...
Premier Protein has come out with a new Carmel flavored shake. I purchased mine from Walmart but I heard that they are in Sam's Club and some Costco. Has anyone else tried the new flavor? What do you think? I like it and it's not too sweet.
Although I ended up spending two nights in the hospital (the additional night was because I was having problems urinating (sorry for the TMI), I was up and walking the next day. I even made it up the two flights of stairs once I got home with little or no assistance.
