Yes that's how it was for me too!!!

It's really strange because they usually do that because they want you to get used to eating that way when you come home from the hospital, plus it helps the surgeon because it shrinks the liver. Good luck to you and yes I would check with your doctor.

It is very hard, but I usually have a shake which has 30 grams of protein and then I have cream of wheat and put most of the other 30 in that, so far it's working for me and glad I found a good price on protein powder.
