I went to the Dr today. He said that the pain in my lower left side in not connected to the surgery. I'm pretty sure it is diverticulitis. Going tomorrow to hae it checked out.
Thank you. I definitely need to take it slowly on the fluids. I saw my doctor today. I not only lost the 6 extra pounds, I lost 5 more. Some excited!!!
Do you have comorbidities? I can't imagine that the Dr. can't pull this off with the insurance company. Keep plugging away. I am going to pray about that, because I know what that would have done to me.
I actually did pretty well from Oct to Feb27, my surgery date. However the last week that I was able to eat whatever I wanted to, I bought a box of Girl Scout mint cookies and ate the whole box. I would have broken the arm of anyone who tried to take one. lol. My Dr. calls it a food funeral...
I would definitely wait. I want my Dr at her best. Mine had a baby in November and I was concerned about post partum on her part. I definitely want "her all" there for me. She was great!
I just had my surgery on Feb 27th. I had my 1st solid today. I ate part of a scrambled egg. The pain between my breasts was excruciating. For about 20 min. Anyone else experience this. I don't ever want to eat solids again.
Just had my bypass last Monday,Feb 27. So far I've GAINED 6 lbs. Anybody know why? I haven't even been able to get 2 protein drinks in a day. I feel like I should have lost 10 lbs by now.
Glad to hear you're doing it too I am 67 Apr 1. I am no on Medicare because I am still on my husband's insurance, but when trying to decide whether or not to change to Medicare, my Drs office said that Medicare covers it. You can call Medicare and ask??? about it . There are requirements like...
It really depends on your insurance. Mine made me have 6 months of nutrition classes, but the office told me that some don't require any wait. Good luck. I had 3 days of jitters in my 5th month of prep. I'm 67. I didn't have time to try to lose it on my own AGAIN! By the way I live in MA now...
I just had surgery on the 27th. I had lost 30 lbs from Oct.1 until surgery. I think cutting out carbs is what did it for me. HOWEVER I have gained 6 Lbs since surgery last week. What a bummer. I'm hoping it is just gas and will pass. (No pun intended.)
My pain isn't near the incision as Anna indicated. The incisions are in the lower part of my upper abdomen. I have two belly rolls. The pain is in the lower one.
I'm only 7 days out from surgery, but I have horrendous pain in my lower left abdomen. I'm going to my follow up appointment tomorrow. I'm definitely going to ask about it. I have diverticulitis and this pain is identical, though I think it is surgery related.
