    introduction

I stall very often. I'm seven months post op with the bypass. Starting weight 302, I'm at 212 as of today. I can stay stuck at a weight for over a month, then I'll lose 4 or 5 pounds, then stall again. It was very frustrating in the beginning, but I'm ok with it now. I figure as long as I'm...

Under 170- anybody else willing to share their current weight?

I'm 215 weight loss of 85lbs. I'm 6 months post op, and my goal weight is about 160-170. I had the bypass and my weight is coming off very slowly. I am ok with that as long as it keeps coming off!

    I never formally introduced!

After surgery you should no longer take anything with ibuprofen. That can cause serious health issues, including ulcers. I tried to take my pain medicine mostly at night. If you get up and move around, it really helps.

    I never formally introduced!

I'm feeling so much better these days. It did take close to three months to recover though. I thought that I would be better much sooner then that. But again everyone's recovery is so different. The medicine I was prescribed was liquid hydrocodone. I was on it for 2 weeks, but experienced pain...

    I never formally introduced!

Welcome! I'm Lori. Everybody's journey is so different. I watched so many YouTube videos with WLS stories. Most said they experienced very little pain, mostly discomfort. I had bypass surgery and my pain was pretty bad. I'm saying this not to scare you , but so that you understand you may have...

Hello all thank you for the add

Hello....welcome Funny thing with my surgeon is I wasn't required to go on a pre op liquid diet. Day before I was to eat breakfast, then liquids till midnight, then nothing. I probably would've struggled with that diet. Your surgery is coming up real soon.....I hope everything goes well!!! I was...

I am doing so much better! Thank you Pixx! It was rough for a bit, but I made it through. I'm able to enjoy more foods and I'm figuring out what works best for me. I still get full very fast and I'm definitely not looking forward to the day when that feeling goes away. Lol.

If you eat something every two hours it kicks your metabolism up. I don't mean eat full meals. Like in between meals eat a small handful of almonds, or a cheese stick. I love cottage cheese personally it's low in carbs and calories high in protein per serving.

Pre surgery I was on the south beach diet. It was very doable for me. I'm not one to count calories, in fact I despise it. That's why it worked. The book explains things in a easy to understand way. I lost weight very slowly, but I always lost it.

    Does anyone else regret it?

I am so very sorry this is happening to you. I have heard a few horror stories that resemble yours. I had my surgery in Aug and had a few moments of regret. But of course I am not going through the struggles that you are. I so much hope everything gets better for you.

    I’m New

Hi Barb welcome to the group! I am two and a half months post op. I had the bypass. I had second thoughts right up until surgery. I was nervous I was making a mistake and that I wasn't going to be a success. I've had weight problems my whole life and have failed at every diet. I'm still figuring...

I need to talk about Poop, yes PooP!

Being on the pain meds constipated me. Miralax does work and it's gentle no cramping. Hydration is the key also. Before surgery I went once or twice a day. Now it's every couple of days.... which I guess is my new normal.

    Someone help!

I'm like you Jasmine. My surgery was 8/14. My weight loss seems slow. I do feel hungry occasionally but for the most part I'm eating when I'm not hungry. I'm having bouts of depression, this has not been easy. I struggle daily with getting my protein in. Someone on here told me I should be...

Starting out: How do you gain momentum?

I'm 2 months post op. Gastric bypass. All foods that are bad for me.....still look amazing! Sometimes I just want to eat one meal like I used to...lol. I don't though. It's been a journey sometimes really rough. I wouldn't change a thing!

    Hi I'm new here!

I'm at two months post op for the bypass. I've only lost 35 lbs so far. I lost 15 before surgery so all together it's 50. It's coming off super slow. It does get discouraging at times. I'm strictly following high protein low carb diet plan. Most days I get in about 600 calories. Maybe I'm not...

Hi welcome to the group! My surgery date was 8/14/17. My start weight was 302 and I'm at 255. Some of that weight was lost pre operatively. I've hit my second plateau which is so frustrating. Ever want to just talk hit me up!

    Newby

Welcome to the group! I am seven weeks post op having had gastric bypass. I didn't have any major health issues other then morbid obesity. My health insurance covered my surgery because my bmi was over 40. I did have to be in a six month nutritional program before surgery and had to lose at...
