I’m 41. I’m also barely getting in my fluids. Maybe half a protein shake a day. I’m sure that’s why I am losing so fast right now. Would be okay losing slower if I could just drink enough.
I am just trying to get around this morning. Going to use some ice chips to add some extra fluid in today. I decided to take the rest of this week off since I am still so weak. I’ve lost 14 pounds since the 24th. Not sure if that is normal or not. “Just keep drinking” ;)
I had my sleeve the same day and I also am still weak and so sore by the end of the day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better for both of us. We can do this!
I have awesome support at home. My son is trying to keep me focused and my mom checks in daily. This site will probably be the best platform. Very nice to message with people who understand for sure.
I was wondering if sucking in too much air was causing the hiccups. I’ll try slower deep breaths and drinking thru a straw. My dr said I can get back to work whenever I feel ready and am off the meds. I am hoping to stop the meds today if I can keep the hiccups away. Then maybe Wednesday I...
I keep telling myself not everyone gets the hang of it the first week and to stay positive. Glad I found this site for words of wisdom and encouragement. Thanks ladies!
Thanks girls. I may try starting five minutes on the treadmill next week. Wow Christine you are doing awesome! I can’t wait to shop in normal stores either.
Hi Kim! I’m just 5 days post op so we are close on this journey. Nerves are normal. I was so nervous the last few weeks before the big day. Keep us posted. You will do great.
You ladies are amazing. I’m very glad I found this site. Your encouragement of each other gives me hope. I’m 5 days post op and can honestly say I have had the “did I do the right thing” thought at least once a day so far. Reading your posts let’s me know it will get better and will be...
I’m just 5 days post op so I’m only doing light walking around the house every hour or so. When did you all start using the treadmill? I am still quite sore so I am scared to start on it right now.
Sorry for the late reply. I made my weigh in goal, but the insurance didn’t give there approval in time for the 17th. I had my surgery this Tuesday the 24th. I am still struggling to get in all my fluids. Each drink is followed by the need to burp. Hoping that is normal. Definitely still...
I can relate to the anxiousness for sure. I have my pre-op this week too. I think what is keeping me from freaking out is that I know this is the best decision for me to get my life and health back on track. The thoughts of the future are what is pushing me thru.
Hi everyone! I have been doing my pre-op requirements since June. Finally hit my pre-surgery weight loss goal this week. Surgery date is tentatively set for October 17th. I'm excited and nervous. Monday will be my final weigh in appointment and if I'm at the mark the 17th will be it for sure.
