Its been a while since I have posted on here. I have been so busy it has really been crazy. 115 pounds gone. Absolutely full of energy. If your about to have your surgery, you should be tickeled to death because your adventure is just starting.
Well I had my 1 month checkup last week. All is good. Been exercising 5 days a week an hour a day. weight loss down to about a half a pound a day. Can eat solid foods now. About 100 pounds to go.
I have tried and tried but cannot force myself to take 30 minutes to consume 4 oz. Call it A.D.D. or no patience but I have even tried eating with a baby spoon. If I am not getting sick is it really that big a deal. i do however wait 30 min before and after to drink.
Thanks, Roy
Shan,
My mother and grandfather passed from diabetic complications. I myself was well on the way. i was taking 3 types of insulin and about 10 pills a day. I am so glad you decided to have WLS.
How much weight has your husband lost?
Today marks 2 weeks since my surgery. January 1st of this year, I weighed myself at 382 pounds. This morning I weighed 328. I am so stoked at seeing this weight come off I do not think about food anymore. I eat to live now not the other way around. I took myself off of my blood pressure meds...
Well 4 days out of surgery now and I am doing great. My throat finally got better. I am still sore but no longer on pain medication. I am off of 3 of my diabetes medications. My sugars are running around 100. I walked almost a mile today! And the big thing is Im not hungry anymore. I am...
The surgery went off without a hitch. I was walking 2 hours after. I am down 32 pounds since January. I am having a problem getting my fluids in with having to wait 30 min before and after eating. Any suggestions?
Thank all of you again fpr your support.
Well I have been on the all protein shakes for 2 weeks and I have have lost over 15 pounds. Tomorrow is the big day. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little apprehensive about it. I am also excited to start my new life. Hopefully I can post Tuesday that everything went well. Again, thank...
I have read tons of posts on here and pretty much all of them have been helpful and uplifting. What is the deal about all the suicide questions in the psyc eval? Suicide is the LAST thing I would want to do after losing all the weight and getting healthy. Just wondering.
I am on 700 calorie a day high protein shakes for 2 weeks. With my active job, it is pretty rough. I am losing about a pound a day. The doctor did give me 4 meal cards to use during the two weeks but I am trying not to use them. I am drinking a ton of water. I look foward to getting this done...
I have always been a pretty good cook. Learned it from my grandma. Its kind of messing with my head that I cant cook that kind of food anymore for my family. I know that southern cooking is what has gotten me in this position. Feel a little guilty.
This is the first time for me to talk about my surgery. I have a ton of questions to ask and look forward to talking to whoever can help me get through this. Thanks in advance.
