Food and beverage likes and dislikes after surgery

You sure can sprinkle the protein on anything you like. Any way you can get your protein and fluids in is AOK. You might try looking back on some of the old posts from earlier this year. There are a lot of great recipes that were shared that packed a lot of flavor and protein into tiny meals...

Food and beverage likes and dislikes after surgery

Hello & Welcome to the Other Side, I'm not liking what the Dr. & NUT (nutricianist) are saying. Buy our shakes only. I do agree you need to drink more and you may have to just "suck it up" (pun intended) and get down at least 32 grams of protein. Don't worry about the ounces in terms of...

This also includes pizza. I just eat the toppings. One five inch corn tortilla is my max too. Oh no don't get me started I don't really miss it too much until I think about it so.....never mind.

Food and beverage likes and dislikes after surgery

I have the same problem with lettuce and breads unless the bread is toasted. Also rice and noodles I can tolerate maybe an 1/8th cup at most. I end up throwing up or in terrible pain so I just don't eat lettuce or bread. I will try a little every so often but so far no good. Just one or two...

Hello, Ralph here, I have been away so long.... sorry so much going on....

Hi Ralph & Cheyenne! You both are doing so well. We are all so fortunate that you both are active on this web site. It's been a busy summer for me too. I hadn't lost the pounds like I hoped, but my Nutritionist says that My body has reconstituted in other words exchanged muscle for fat. I walk...

No energy - even with B12 - advice?

Have you both had a sleep study? Could it be sleep apnea? Dehydration, lack of Vitamin D (common problem), and low thyroid are all possibilities for low energy. And of course, not to mention, lack of exercise. If I feel sleepy, I try taking a brisk walk, I have found it perks me up, maybe it's...

Problems with my husband dealing with his gastric bypass. Herlp.

Sue Pee, Gosh this is a lot of drama. I know it's hard when you love someone and you see they are doing harm to themselves But you have to let him do whatever it is he wants to do. You can't make someone follow the plan if they don't want to. For your sake, his sake and the sake of your marriage...

    Pain

I agree with Karenina you should consider the sleeve. Also because most surgeries are done laparoscopically there is a lot less pain than your c-sections by far and less recovery stress too. If you can tolerate a c-section you'll breeze through this surgery. I took pain meds Oxy after a lot of...
