I understand the frustration of waiting. I start pursuing surgery last November and recently was notified that my surgery is June 20. Am so ready for the beginning of June to start my pre-op diet, start preparing for my hospital stay, and make arrangement for when I first come home.

Have been been preparing for surgery so long that it is hard to believe that it is scheduled. Start pre-op diet on 6/10/14 and surgery is 9 am on 6/20/14. Am excited and anxious as well as impatient. Really looking forward to my new life.

Like you I have numbness as well as burning and tingling in my feet and hands. (And that is with taking 2 meds for nerve pain). Both my Diabetic and Primary doctors are supportive of surgery as when I lose weight, it makes a big difference in my blood sugars and A1C. My surgery is in 5 weeks and...
