If you're confident that you have ruled out any organic physical cause, it might be a mental tic that you've developed over time. It's certainly possible to do that, especially when the reaction is vomiting. Some people vomit who don't have weight problems and they do it with very little provocation, at the sound of a word or the thought of an image.
But if you're 10 years out, why are you worrying about it now? If you've been surviving on a liquid diet for 10 years, maybe it's the right path for you. Make sure you cover your vitamins and minerals, and since you've been getting scoped, you must have regular medical care specific to this problem. We aren't doctors here. You're in better hands with your own physician.
But you sound concerned, and you say people are looking at you and thinking you look sick. The internet is certainly not a doctor, and you really have to be suspicious of anything you read there, including what you read here. However, no one in this group is going to try to diagnose you.
You presented a chronic problem for which you have repeatedly sought medical help, and you're still having the problem. I have never heard of anyone having this problem, or being able to maintain a liquid diet for longer than a few months. Frankly, your story is incredulous.
I'm being frank with you. If you're describing your problems 100% accurately, and not exaggerating when you say "if I eat anything solid I throw it up" literally, you need to escalate your cause.
And when you do that, you need to include a professional mental health worker who specializes in eating disorders. There are a lot of them around and you have a documented problem that has gone on for a long time. No insurance plan could possibly deny payment.
That said, just because I've never heard of it, doesn't mean someone here it doesn't suffer from it. If anyone does, I hope you'll speak up.
You haven't said what kind of physical shape you're in. Are you healthy? Do you get blood draws when you get checked out? If so, do your results show that you have adequate vitamin and mineral levels?
I've read your post 10 times, trying to read between the lines, trying to comprehend your perceptions. When people write in absolutes, like "the most" and "the best" and "nothing works" and "I've tried everything," it's not necessarily hyperbole. On the other hand, it might be. If you want to tell your story, and you might have gone over the top a little with your descriptions, please write again and be very, very specific with your symptoms, the number of times this has happened and any consequences you've suffered as a result.
This group really does exist to help and support people who are going through different things before and after bariatric surgery. But I honestly don't see how we can say anything to you right now except, "see your doctor."
