I just wanted to share some really great information that I learned when I met with my surgeon yesterday. I apologize if I’m over-sharing, but I am excited and can’t stop thinking about my surgery date.

1. Because I lost 12 pounds, I only have to do 10 days of the liquid diet (instead of two weeks).
2. The hospital policy has changed and I am allowed one visitor before and after surgery.
3. My surgeon creates a 32 French bougie or pouch which is the smallest size for VSG.
4. I can stop taking my hypertension medication on the day of surgery. I just have to monitor my BP at home and watch the numbers. This is the best news!
