High Protein Recipes to be Pureed

Does anyone have any good recipes other than just eating plain old yogurt or pureed chicken for right after surgery? I am not a cook and do not have an imagination for meals. Any ideas will be appreciated!

High protien Pudding
two scoops unjury to a box of instant sugar free pudding with skim milk

peanut butter :)
refried beans

homemade or canned chili and add unjury

My new favorite is the high protein ice cream found on eggface. Which is basically a frozen protein shake.
 
Wow..I checked out the eggface website and those shakes sound yummy! Are all of those shakes allowed immediately after surgery? Can you have more than one a day to equal the required protein amount?

That is a question for your bariatric team. I had two a day until I could get my protein in. Most days I still have two a day. However, every program is different so print a few and take them or email to your nutritionist. The shakes with fruit must be pureed and on my program I am to keep carbs below 100 mg. I hope this helped.

Are the protein shakes filling? I have "mind" issues thinking if I don't chew my meal that I didn't have a meal. That's where I have problems with these and always wondered.

After the surgery water is filling before the surgery depends on the type of protein you choose. I have been using Unjury as it was one of the few that filled me up and kept me from wanting to eat. I am pretty sure the secret is to find a good whey shake with more than 20 grams of protein. Before surgery I was able to drink half a shake do my exercise then finish the shake and felt just fine.
 
I love Vinco's whey protein as well as Muscle Milk's drinks. Low carbs high protein great nutrients and they taste great too. Make soups too. Chicken broth will be your friend. Just dissolve your protein into the chicken broth then you can add the protein to any home made or ready made soup you have. Smoothies are another great way to get variety. Use coconut water if you can't have milk add your protein add your additional stuff such as berries mango spinach or anything and whip it up
