I am about a month post surgery. I am having a lot of trouble keeping any food down, even liquids. Constantly throwing up, sometimes multiple times a day. The only thing I can keep down consistently is a little bit of ensure. Any suggestions?

Hi Red Roses! WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!

Sounds like something may be wrong. Have you made an appointment with your surgeon? At the very least call him. You can't know what the problem is just by guessing. Dehydration from throwing up can be life threatening.

Let us know what he says..

Oh good I am glad that Cheyenne responded already with my thought please call your surgeon something doesn't sound right. Also be sure you are eating/drinking in 1 ounce portions and sipping very slowly

Please stay in close contact with your surgeon that is most important. I was drinking 1 ounce every 15min all day of high protein shakes premiere to make sure you get your protein in, plus it s a liquid. Hopefully you have anti nausea medicine for you too. Good luck.

What are you eating? Are you chewing food really good? Maybe eating too fast? Make sure no drinking and eating at the same time as well.
