I would try county first. Medical necessity might get you a chance of getting it covered. Find a doctor who will go to bat for you and get it approved thru Medicaid. Good luck!
I had to fight for 2 years with Humana insurance to get my band removed. How long have you had the band and why remove it. Mine was great for 10 years but then got stuck every day trying to eat. Nearest surgeon for this was Las Vegas 1 1/2 hours away.
