This is Stumpy, my 5 year old kitty with one eye and a missing paw. I went with my mom and younger sister to a dairy barn to show my nephew how cows are milked. While there, we saw several barn cats. One was my little guy. He was about 8 weeks and looks two weeks younger. His eyes were covered in boogers and I noticed a missing front paw. The farmer said he had been stepped on by a cow. I was told I could take him home. But I left without him. For three days I couldn't stop thinking about him. I called the farmer up and relayed I just had to have him. When I got there, he was cleaned up and ready to go. That's when I noticed his missing eye. Took him to the vet who said he wouldn't have lasted another week. I rescued him. But he also rescued me. What a joy he has been in my life. Since surgery, he follows me around and is always where I am.
