I am planning to have my surgery by the end of Dec. I'm a little nervous. I have an 11 year old at home and my husband works a lot of hours. What can I expect after surgery. Will I need asst? also planning on coming back to work after a week. is that enough time?

congradulations! I am 1 month in after having the gastric sleeve.you will not need help.normally the hospital will keep you overnight.but you need at least 4 to 6 weeks off from work.no way will you go back after one week.you need time to adjust to your new stomach.

I had the sleeve on the 19th. Couple days of bad gas pain but was still in the hospital so it was fine. Days 3-6 sore but could walk around and get showered.
