Should you wear a Medical Alert?

Hello Qaterra,

I knew I needed one but thought it had to be that ugly standard one. Thank you so much for the link...there are some awesome items there and I will be purchasing one shortly. Have a fantastic day! Nancy

Medical alert is very important for those of us who had the R-N-Y.. My surgeon stated it should read: No NGT, No NSAIDS and No aspirin

In order for a NGT aka naso-gastric tube to be placed it has to be done using fluoroscopy in the ER or hospital in order to avoid tearing or rupturing our pouches and esophagus's.

The other is the obvious risk for ulcers due to NSAIDS and Aspirin. We can take Aspirin in an urgent critical situation only if the appropriate preventative measures have been taken to protect our pouches.

I cannot say what it would be for VSG or sleeve patients..

Yes, this is important.

I need to get to it.

I will order one today.

Ralph
