I read on some other site that if you keep the ends that you cut off of leeks and celery and green onions etc, they will grow a new plant above.

Looks like this would take years but at least I was informed correctly. Maybe if I had a garden to put it in it would grow bigger..

YAY!! It should not take years... you can actually do the same with pineapple, but those DO take years to fruit.
