Turkey Sloppy Joes

1lb ground turkey
1 small onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 t garlic powder
1 t yellow mustard
1/2 C Ketchup
1 t brown sugar

Brown turkey, onion and green pepper in skillet. Drain off any excess liquid/fat. Add all other ingredients and mix thoroughly. Reduce heat and simmer until sauce reaches desired consistency.

You can eat it open-faced or as a lettuce wrap. I actually leave it a little saucy and eat it on salad.

I use ground turkey in place of beef for almost everything.
Unless I want an actual burger. A turkey burger is exactly that, not a "burger".
Although, it is rarely I go for a beef burger but eat turkey burgers regularly! So yummy.

I have never made homemade sloppy joe, only used the canned sauce. This recipe is so easy, I might go for it.
