Surgery has given me hope, determination, self-confidence, and I can now imagine a future without physical and psychological "fat-girl" baggage.

First, not taking so much medication.
Second, having relief from gastroparesis ( vomiting and undigested food in stomach).

For myself, having surgery means hope. The hope to live a longer & healthier life. The hope to possibly not suffer in so much pain with my fibromyalgia, herniated discs, degenerative disc disease and arthritis pain. The hope to be more active & get back to a normal exercise routine. The hope to enjoy life with my children & my husband more & the hope to have an overall better quality of life, one which I will be proud of myself.
