Hi Y'all!
Here I am checking in again on my 4 month anniversary, looking for your friendly ear.
My entire 4th month post-op has been bust. I've lost a total of 4 lbs in a month. And darn it....my weight loss had to stall at 49 total pounds lost. Not 50. No...my body won't go past that 50 lb mark. Frustrating.
Still suffering from that chronic constipation. I had my annual check up this week. My GP doesn't like the constipation (neither do I) although the Bariatric doc thinks it is no big deal. The GP wants me in for a colonoscopy to check for a blockage. Then my bloodwork came back with some strange results. The GP referred me to a hematologist to look into that. (I'm hoping it is your run-of-the-mill malnutrition or dehydration.)
On top of that, my TSH level went through the roof. My thyroid dose had to be increased. I happened to read on another bariatric board that the iron in my vitamin decreases the availability of the synthroid medication. In the 50 years I've been on synthroid, that is the first I've heard of iron not mixing with synthroid.. I'm eating 900 calories a day. Keeping my micronutrients in balance. High protein. Lots of water and getting active. Yet, no weight loss and 3 new doctor appointments. Sorry for the pity party. Just worries compounded by worries.
