I really couldn't give two hoots about Star Jones or The View.

But when she made the very personal choice to have bariatric surgery in 2002, people she trusted leaked the event to the media.

It was her right to tell her story & she did share her weight loss journeys in 2007. I noticed that what she was saying sounded like many of the people here.

It was her business not theirs to tell. I have not blasted to everyone that I am having the gastric bypass done. But my reasons are different. But they should of respected that and allowed her to come out on her own. They should of encouraged her. Maybe she did not have the confidence to stand up and tell the world she has a problem with food, an weight issue, or even a health issue that the surgery would help. Did they know the reason behind the surgery. They should of just encouraged her to keep working and making progress.
