I am sorry for your loss, but what a life he must have had. 97 years young which dates back to 1916-1917. Oh the stories he must have shared. I had the privilege of knowing two of my great grandfathers until I was 18 and can remember all the stories they would share of their life experiences. My one great grandfather knew Henry Ford personally, plus worked for him in Detroit. The other great grandfather worked on the railroad and when he retired the railroad wanted to give him the caboose. He would have taken it if he had a place for it. Ok Mergatroid...Ever since I saw your user name it has been calling me as to where I have heard this. It finally came to me, "Heavens to Mergatroid", is from the cartoon character, Snagglepuss on Yogi Bear. Now I can rest since I figured it out. He was a great cartoon. Love, Love Love it.
