    Thanks Linney.

It is a journey I am enjoying. Great health, active, back to playing golf, walking and dancing.

I am still trickling down in weight, but I am essentially in maintenance.

Keep coming to the forum. Others need our help.
Oh Kim, You're very welcome! Apple products are tough for me to figure out too! I've tried using my daughter's ipad and fumbled with it a bit, but I'm trying to figure it out....Congrats on the 10 lbs. Wow! You were going for five and lost 10! I'm so happy for you! I am going to join a group as well, it's right up my alley. It's held at a hospital where they have seminars that include meditation, art therapy, how to cope with stress, etc. I like the mind, body, and spirit aspect of the program. The emotional journey is the ultimate challenge by far. Losing the weight seems much easier than the psychological aspects of this journey. You're very self-aware, and that's the biggest bonus of all, which will give you victory all the way around on this journey. You're an amazing being and have it together! Thank you as well for your kudos and your input. I truly enjoy reading about your progress and your accomplishments!
Hi Linney, Thanks you look great as well. I was at the Apple store trying to figure out how to use my laptop and I had the tech help me post a picture. Don't know if I can do it again lol. I did the 5 day pouch test last week in an attempt to calm the cravings. I also got into some grazing. It really worked. By day 2 the crazings were gone and I was not hungry. I did the full 5 days and felt much better by the end of the week. I also lost 10 pounds which I was surprised about. I also began working with a psychologist as I recognize I need some help with some left over emotional stuff. Thank you for being so supportive and providing inspiration with your blogs.
    Hi Again Renie,

Even though your family may be far away, they are just an e-mail or phone call away. My brother lived five hours away for 30 years, and just returned to CT two years' ago. When he was far away I constantly called him or e-mailed him. It's the next best thing to having them there.
    Hi Renie,

Hooray! That's correct. Proteins do fill you up! It's tempting to want to eat your complex carbs first, many of us do that automatically, but if you make an effort to eat your protein first, you wont be overeating and also eating foods that you should not be eating or craving as well. I found when I bought "healthy" foods, my family began eating healthy right along with me. If you don't have the "sugary" foods around, there's no temptation. Let me know if it's a go with your exercise. Good News, Linney
Hi Linney you're right proteins do fill me up , im so glad you had your family by your side my family lives far from me and my live in fiancé is a sugar addict so we always have it at hand . I would do anything to have my family close by . I have my appt with my PCP tomorrow he will let me know if I have a problem with my aorta . if all goes well and he says I can exercise I will do my best to do so . I will also cut out those bad carbs for good . thank you again . renie
You are very welcome. I'll be continuing to post new videos in time and will let all of you know on my blog site under My Life when I've posted a new video! Thank you for watching! I'm happy they have helped you on your journey! Linney
    Hi Renie,

Thank you for your feedback. Dumping syndrome is no fun at all. I'm surprised you have it after eating fruit, and not a high-carb or concentrated amount of sugar. For the first year of my weight-loss journey I did not eat any cookies, candy, bread, crackers, or pasta. My motivation was that I couldn't walk and wanted the weight to come off asap. Don't feel ashamed for we all beat ourselves up more than anyone else does. I was very mindful of eating no more than 2 grams of sugar i.e. in any product that contained sugar. I was addicted to bad carbs, and now once and in a while I'll eat some carbs, but that's because I'm almost three years being at goal. I'm over the 2 grams of sugar as well. Protein fills you up. ALWAYS take in your protein first and you'll be amazed how full you'll become! Then eat your complex carbs, green veggies. I found that sugar STIMULATES hunger and as you said makes you bloated, tired, and doesn't burn fat.
Hi Linney I just wanted to thank you for sharing your videos . I watched 2 so far , I know most ppl get sick after eating sugary treats , with me ( pardon my bluntness ) but I only get dumping after eating fresh fruit , baked goods just cause me to get very bloated and gassy . I haven't had any sugary treats in about 2 weeks but im still having trouble with my breads . do you have any suggestions to help . I do fine when I don't indulge in them , but once I start I eat then on a reg basis . feeling very ashamed of myself . I want to add you as a friend but don't know how , so if you want to pls add me .,. sincerely , renie
P.S I really want and need to succeed . I have very bad health and was 298 or very close to it since I was a very young girl . I was never a normal weight EVER .
    :(
    Hi Dcepello,

They are all extremely proud and happy that I've returned to the person I used to be (many years ago). Without my family, I could have never done this alone. I needed their love, support, and inspiration to keep me sane! Thank you for your kind words. You look very happy and healthy as well! Thank you for visiting! Linney
Wow, Linney! I was looking at your pictures, what an accomplishment. What does your family think about the new you?
