I have been on Pintrest lately also. I love the recipes. I have so many saved and even my Hubby says are look appealing to him.

    New just had surgery Monday.

I felt the same way. Thought I was prepared and ready. I was not ready for the emotional changes that come along with a major life change. You can't beat yourself up or push yourself to far to fast. Sip, sip and sip some more. It will take time to get the protein in that is needed. I don't...

    What size is a "bite"?

Qaterra, that bite would be close to my pinky nail. It has gotten a tad bigger as I am able to eat different things. If I am eating salmon then I use a salad fork, just for ease, but that bite still what is close to a toddler bite.

    Lacking Protein

I have had to start drinking MooTopia Milk. It is a high protein, low fat, lactose free milk. None 8oz serving has 12 grams of protein. I had tried 3 different protein shakes and they did not sit well with my new pouch. My nutritionist and nurse practitioner both told me to drink that.

How did you determine your goal weight?

My team picked the highest weight I could be for my height for my goal. My goal is about 15-20lbs lighter. I am 5'4 and want to be down to 125-130. but I have had five kiddos and wonder if I can get that small again. Reasa

I am 6 weeks out and have started looking at recipes of what is Bariatric friendly for the future. It has helped a lot with the cravings. I also cut back on tv watching. Usually if I do I watch DVRed shows. Reasa

    36 more hours...not that I'm counting or anything ;)

Hello dragonfly11. Welcome. My advice to you is rest and drink your water. Keep the fluid intake up and exercise the way your doc wants. And don't push yourself. Good luck to you. Reasa

    Are you cooking for Thanksgiving?

I actually cooked almost the whole meal. It didn't bother me at all. My best friend made dessert and defiled eggs with low fat mayo so I could enjoy that. I had a few slices of smoked turkey and half a devised egg. I was in heaven.:)

Thank you everyone for the welcome. It has been crazy around here with the holidays and us having to move soon. I am actually in Killeen, Tx. We are about an hour north of Austin. I am into my second month and had a crying fit on the phone with my nurse practitioner. She encouraged me and now I...
