    Shakes

Have you tried them since your operation? There could have been other factors that caused your bp to go up at that time. How much did the bp go up? I would give it another try. Also, you are not going to use them at the rate you had to pre-op. When I use them now I will use one or two in a...

    Shakes

to this day I still use premier protein shakes. I like the taste and you get 30g protein in each shake. the three flavors, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry I have enjoyed. I do favor the chocolate.

Changing how I look at things.

Don't worry, the weight comes off. As long as you follow your program faithfully the weight will come off. Your weight loss will be slow at times and then suddenly drop quickly. You might even gain and then lose. But the weight will come off.

Changing how I look at things.

For me my stomach still fills up quite rapidly. Yes, it has gotten larger over the 3 years plus for me. But, I am still never hungry and a bagel is too much for me. So a hard boiled egg and 1/2 bagel is a meal. Remember I am three years plus since surgery. Typically, I have two softboiled eggs...

Hello everyone, I have been away from forum for way too long

Hi, I used to post at least 3 times a week. Just stopped doing it; not good. During 2015 in the winter I had continuous sinus infection. The meds I was on included antibiotics and predisone. I gained 15 pounds and never got it back off. So now I am maintaining between 215 to 220. My original...

    Scared

We just need to keep on doing what we are doing. I have had a rough six months, gained a little (now 211) and have been fighting an awful flu like cold and cough that wouldn't give up. On meds, predisone and antibiotics, etc. Well over the last few days the cough is finally subsiding got 2...

Hi to all fellow weight loss seekers!

Hi, I haven't been getting to the forum lately. Anyway, keep following the program. The weight will come off. It finds it way down. You will develop new habits. Yes, the old can creep in. But now you have a new set of tools to "combat" those bad habits trying to work their way back in. It is...

Weight loss stall or a problem?

I tend to hold water weight too. However, your journey has just begun. The weight will come off. It has a mind of its own. You will stall, drop suddenly, might even gain one week, but overall the weight will come off. YOU MUST FOLLOW THE PLAN FAITHFULLY; ESPECIALLY IN YOUR FIRST TWO YEARS...

    Scared

What a wonderful post Cheyenne. The gastric bypass was the best decision I have made with respect to improving my overall health. Not looking back. It is now 2+ years. I gained a few pounds over the second half of 2015, but I am working on them now. Remember it is a tool. You get a timeout...

8 weeks post op: Gastric Bypass: Food does not appeal to me

You must eat. Follow your Doctors directions. I was on 1200 calories post op and the weight simply kept coming off. If you go too low your body gets tricked and goes into starvation mode and shuts down and losing weight strangely enough becomes more difficult. Ralph

Try again. Didn't like my first entry. First of all you are doing awesome. As to pasta it is something you should not be having yet! Wait until you get to goal. I hope you are following your guidelines, protein first and the.... veggies and carbs but limited. It sounds like you are. At 5...

    Who else has sleep apnea???

This does not make sense to me at all. Are you telling me you are 100 pounds overweight, a diabetic, high blood pressure and more and you DO NOT QUALIFY for gastric bypass? What kind of miserable insurance do you have? Also, your surgeon's team has also said there is nothing you can do? If...

    Introduction

Your surgeon and his staff should be doing what is necessary with BCBS to get your approval for you! I don't understand why you got a letter. They are the ones that have the experience in dealing with the insurance companies and they KNOW what to do. Go back to your surgeon and staff and get...
