Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! Mine is on the 28th, so you will be a few days ahead of me :) I am also starting a modified liquid diet in anticipation of my surgery, although my doctor did not ask me to do one. What sort of shakes are you using?

Congratulations on the start of your new life! It's normal to be a little scared. I am a healthcare professional, and I am a little scared too (my surgery is the 28th). Have faith, and know that this is a new beginning for you, and for your family. You will get through this. Blessings!

Hi there! I am also waiting on my surgery; my date is the 28th of this month. I live in Ohio too! I have found a lot of encouragement here, simply from reading about the experience of others. Oh, I am having the RNY, although I am familiar with the duodenal switch. :D

Everyone will ultimately have their own unique experience with surgery. I hope you feel better soon. :)

I had my pre-op appointment, and anesthesia evaluation today. My surgery is scheduled for 1/28/13. I couldn't do it much sooner because of work obligations. I waffled back and forth between the sleeve and the RNY. In the end, I decided on the RNY.
