Anyone else afraid of clogged arteries from living on meat/cheese/eggs daily???

personally I don't do to much red meat. I tend to cook local fresh fish, turkey, chicken breast, tuna, and when I have an egg it is two whites with one yolk. I also use an app to help me keep up with my level of fats and cholesterol in my food. My biggest problem at this point is all the darn...

Just 8 weeks post-op and still feel miserable. Does it get better?

Welcome! I hate to hear that you are having trouble. I don't have any advice for ulcers but I can tell you that Unjury is great for getting in protein. I like the chicken soup flavor on cold days and Chocolate splendor mixed with milk after a workout. If you mix the Unjury with milk it is about...

    I give up....

So sorry you are having a hard time. Have you tried emailing your nutritionist a list of what you are eating. I found the hard way that nuts pack a punch with calories and were keeping me from losing early on. Sometimes it is something so simple that causes havoc. I hope you can find your...

Sleeve surgery 3mo.s ago - eating carbs :(

Like the others said hair loss happens. I would like to add that if you haven't had many carbs go slow. I found the hard way I am addicted to them. Ugg one bite and I didn't want to stop eating. Now carbs in fruit and vegetables are one thing but bread and other flour products is what set me up...

    Moving on to regular food....

It is amazing at the difference. At 6 weeks I was told there were no restrictions. The only thing they told me was to avoid slider foods as these things don't feel you up and can make you gain weight.

    Moving on to regular food....

Congrats on the great start! The choice is yours when it comes to carbs. I would start with the things eaten on hte pureed diet and slowly add other items because at this point you do not know if you will dump. I decided early on to avoid the high carb items. It would seam every time I have one...

    Merry Christmas

I hope all are having a Merry Christmas. I have to share that I had a great present today; I didn't hit the one hundreds as wished but I am at 204 and I love it. It has been a while since the scale moved so the surprise and happiness took over me. Another great thing, a family tradition is...

    getting frusterated

Stay with the program! Get your water and protein and the weight will start to decline. It is so hard to stay off the scale but don't expect the scale to move everyday. Also, like others have said once the surgery weight is gone things will speed up. Well wishes

I hated riding exercise bikes in a gym

my latest is spinning. I purchased a spinning bike and cross county tour workout tape which are awesome. When not in the mood for that and can't get outside I walk the buildings where I work, up and down stairs and through the halls. Any workout is great now that I don't get winded in less than...

    6 months

My sixth months has past. I am a little disappointed that my weight loss has stalled. I have been told I am building muscle but lets face it the number on the scale speaks volumes. Just had Surgery now what.....

stick with all instructions and you will be great. Your Dr is the person to talk to when you are second guessing following the program correctly. My dr did not want me on pureed food for a couple of weeks so I could say anything about your program. I can say that I had no pain as a matter of...
