9 Days and a wake till surgery

Well, my hubby and I are getting the house in order cleaning carpets and doing a deep clean on the house. My office is a disaster zone to say the least, oh well.

I had 6 inches cut off my waist length naturally curly hair today. This will definitely cut down on the typical hour long ritual of washing and conditioning my hair.

The dogs are getting bathed tomorrow go they will be good for a while. We have 2 small dogs who only go out to tinkle and do business so they don't get smelly. My Boston terrier / pug mix refused to get her feet wet and heaven forbid it is even sprinkling out, she will turn around, march in the house and hit her wee-wee pads. She is pad trained because she has traveled with us since she came home with us. Now our bruiser, a 20 pound Pug, he is a trooper who loves to go out in the rain and is the killer of all wind blown fallen leaves. He will pee anywhere outside.

I am actually relieved my date is zooming in.

The 26th is almost here. :) You're having the R-N-Y which is what I had. It's not bad at all. Keep us posted!!!

Definitely will keep every posted.. I am just ready for the 26th to be here, done and over with at this point... As I get closer to launch I am finding I am not as nervous about the procedure itself, it is the anesthesia that has be nervous now.

LOL. I don't recall if you have children StnkerBelle, but I'd share you are in the 'nesting' phase of childbirth. I've been feeling the same way. Trying to anticipate what will need to be done and if I'll be able to do it. Hoping to free up the mundane duties so I can concentrate on my recovery. My son & granddaughter (5) & grandson (7) live with me. Of course I start with feeding my kids, so have been cooking and buying ready made foods so they can be defrosted and heated preferably in the microwave. I'm wondering if the smell of food will be a problem.

Washed my Boxer girl (dog) and took her to the vet for her check up. She's all set. Gonna wash her bedding next weekend.

I think I've remembered everything, I hope so.

I will be sending you happy healing thoughts on the 26th StrinkerBelle. I'm sure you will do just fine. I am Anxiously awaiting your post op review. Xoxo k8

Oh honey, LOL, my oldest is 28... But yes this is like nesting, :)
Hubby and I went to the store and got him some cheese, salad blends other than that he said he will be happy to eat from all of the home canned meats, fruits, chili, soups and veggies we have on hand. He has been so awesome with his eating around me on my phasing diet.
Bless his heart he feels so bad eating food around me. I told him he can eat whatever he likes that it will not upset me or make me want to have it.
Today I hit the realization that food is not in charge of me, I am in fact in charge of food.
LOL Yesterday I hit the wall with yogurt, LOL. I actually got nauseous from the thought of eating another yogurt, LOL. Now that I had the epiphany about whose in charge, it has not bothered me.

Thank you so much for the well wishes.. My next big update will be when I get home this Wednesday from my pre surgical visit with my surgeon, dietician, pulmonologist and the exercise physiologist..

I already started getting reading for Christmas. I put my tree up yesterday. I wanted to make sure I get to enjoy for a long time. (last year I missed Christmas due to moving). I have an appointment to get my hair done tomorrow, right before my pre-op physical - a bit of a "ME' day. I found some chewable calcium and have everything else ready in the vitamin department. Oh, and I am going to stop by Costco tomorrow to pick up some more Premier Protein. Costco is around the corner from the Hospital/doctor's offices. With Thanksgiving, only 13 work days left for me. Seems so unreal.
