Congratulations on getting your surgery date! That is such an awesome feeling!!
Hopefully Covid will be more manageable by the time you have surgery. There are a lot of people in this group that Covid - impacted their having surgery.

Hi Daisy! I'm one of those who had to put off my surgery due to Covid but was able to get it done in June. Hopefully a successful vaccine will come about and we will be in better shape by the time your surgery comes. Meanwhile there is a ton of info here and feel free to ask any questions.

good luck to you. I know what you're feeling b/c I just had my 1st consult today. I am worried about COVID and pray that none of us catch it. I'm going to try extra hard at keeping it at bay for all of us. I'm ready for a more healthier life and get off a lot of meds including insulin. stay safe!

There may be an effective inoculation by January so COVID won't be as big an issue. Stay psyched and expect the best, even as you prepare for the worst.

Hi Daisy! I know how you feel. I’ve not even been approved but I’ve been doing all the requirements re: my insurance. I’m hoping for July as well. I’m supposed to have a 6 month diet program with my PCP. That put it off a long way.
It does seem like it’s never going to get here. I have been making progress though. I had a phone dr. visit today. I’ve had two out of three of the Shrink visits. I am going to have an endoscopy to see how bad my acid situation is. That is in a week. Then all that is left will be 2 more monthly dr, visits for the insurance approval ( they want me to wait six months and lose 20 lbs.) after that it is just paperwork and getting on the schedule. So anytime after April 1st. But the dr told me today that the ins. paperwork and getting on the schedule will give me a date of mid June at best.
