Surgery scheduled for April 1st. I figured it would be a pretty auspicious day to start this new journey. Pre-op is and has been a struggle. Today is a not a good day nausea and headache from the no food clear liquids gig but I am working by through it. Any encouragement, positive vibes, desire and accountability buddy or things you want to share. I am here for it.

Congratulations on your decision and your progress getting to this point. You sound like you're totally in the thick of it! You're not alone in your struggles. We can all relate.
I always advise affirmations and if you search this group, you can find more specific information about that tool. But it's hard. It's so hard! One thing I can promise you: it's SO WORTH IT! When I'd gained so much weight that I had to turn down social invites because I didn't have any clothes except pajamas and sweats that would fit me, I still didn't hit bottom for a long time. I lived in a state of misery for years. Then I ended up with a doctor who put a number to it: 100 pounds overweight.
I went through all the steps required to get to my surgery date and learned about proper nutrition. My life changed completely and along with new habits and nutritional choices, lost 115 pounds, built my muscles, started hiking, bought beautiful, well-fitting clothes and on and on with the blessings.
Be kind to yourself, rest, treat your headache, and if you have a "warm line," the non-emergent version of a hotline, call. They are there for you, and you can tell them what you really don't want to lay on your friends and family. You can also search this group for posts using keywords like "clear liquid" and "nausea" to glean some suggestions.
Our group, unfortunately, was savagely attacked by Russian spammers, and the formerly fantastic give and take among members has almost disappeared as a result. But we can bring it back. Just keep sharing. Welcome to the group.
