I've been making protein bars since I had the surgery in 2007. They cost a fortune & have more calories than I want. So I look for recipes all the time.
I saw these a few days ago & made them. I don't like walnuts that much so I used pecans. I left out the oatmeal accidentally, but I'd added some other things, so no problem. As you mix it up, you might want to add more protein powder if you think the dough is too thready. I rolled out the sticky dough, which you make in a food processor, between two sheets of waxed paper & cut them into bars. I'm attaching a photo of mine, as well as the photo from the walnut lobby that sponsored the recipe.
