So today was my big day for VSG surgery, get to the hospital and everything was fine until I received anesthesia. All I remember is waking up still in OR room and the anesthesiologist telling me they had to abort my surgery. Reason being is "collapsed lung". So they tell me when they went to intubate something happened to make my lungs collapse and I stopped breathing for like 20 seconds so they say you can't have this procedure today but indicating asthma could be an issue but I have never been diagnosed with asthma. My surgeon was seeming confident about rescheduling me for the end of the month like my collapsed lung was no big deal. Im just wondering if anyone else that had a Bariatric surgery had something like this happen. The anesthesiologist was like this does not happen twice, well no offense but how the hell can they guarantee that. I'm so nervous to even thinking about doing this procedure again
