Got a surgery date!

Just wanted to check in and tell y'all that my surgery is scheduled for September 10th. Two weeks of busy prepping and getting ready so that my family doesn't have to do much while I'm recovering. Going to my pre-op appt with the surgeon tomorrow, and then I'm assuming there with be some labs to be done afterward. So much to do!

congrats on the surgery date! Just wanted to know how long did it take for an approval after you submitted to the insurance? Very exciting! I am in my last month of my diet and then set for the submission process. Waiting patiently!

Hi, me2012. I completed my last dietician requirement on August 8th and August 21st they called to tell me I had been approved. We scheduled the pre-op appt(which I am headed to in about an hour) for the 29th and I could have had the surgery tomorrow but I chose to wait until the 10th because it allowed me to get some stuff done and leave less stuff for my family to worry about. Its really been amazing to me how smooth and uncomplicated the process has been after hearing about how many folks here have struggled with insurance and whatnot. I'm kinda holding my breathe until the surgery happens for fear of "the other shoe dropping" haha

Proud grammie yeah so happy for you you've been fortunate that your process has went so quickly just think you;re new tool for w/l is only day's away make sure once you feel strong enough to come back and share your story how things went for you. I 'll be trailing right behind you for mine is 19th
