HI everyone. I have another 75 to loose after losing about 40ish pounds with diet and exercise. Need your help though, as I need to know if the sleeve is a good option for me. I am an over eater. I eat when bored, sad, mad etc. Odly enough however, I am fit and healthy. I can lift 10lb dumbells and ride a bike and often walk three miles a few days a week. Having said that, I can eat huge volumes of food. Help! I so want this surgery to work. How do I shut my pie hole and stop eating so much lol?

Welcome to the group Julia :) Congrats on losing 40lbs, that is awesome! Unfortunately I can't really help with advice, I was the opposite of you, I never really remembered to eat on a regular basis. It is a struggle now that I have to have certain amounts of water and protein daily. I think though that if you do have the surgery, you may still end up with 'head hunger.' Also, I don't know if the sleeve works the same way as bypass, where if you overeat, you get sick immediately? I hope some of the sleeve patients respond, it would be interesting to find out. If that were the case, I would think it might help you at first with the overeating, however, like most things, if you did it long term your body would adjust and deal with it, the sleeve stretching to accommodate the amounts of food you take in. Maybe the misery from doing it your first year after surgery would help you adjust your portion control? o_O Either way, I do hope you find success! You sound like your healthy and fighting an eating disorder, perhaps therapy could help as well? Best wishes to you on your new journey!
