Hello! New Person here!

I'm 53 and am scheduled for the roux-en-y gastric bypass surgery July 26th. I'm nervous and excited to start this new journey. It has taken over 2 years to get to this decision as I did not seek it out for weight loss even though at 5'10" and 272.6 lbs I am overweight and have been for years. As I have found out through multiple tests my stomach doesn't empty the way it should and my GERD has gotten so bad my esophagus lining has eroded to a grade D. No amount of small bites, soft food or just liquids stay where they should so this is the solution to it!
