Hello! My name is Shannon and I am 1 week away from surgery! I am a full time mom, wife, student and employee, so I am looking to get my support here as my time is limited to travel to meetings, etc.

Hi Shannon, glad you made it to the site. I'm a mom, wife and student also, just not working at this time. There is a lot of great people on here to offer support and friendship. I'm having my surgery on the 25th, so getting closer and excited. What procedure are you having? Keep us posted, and tell us more about your experiences.

Hi Shannon, Welcome. This is a great place for support if you are on the go, in the summer I just don't have time to make it to my monthly support group so I am so glad I found this forum in December. We are all here to help and support each other. You should try and make it to a live support group at least a couple times a year just to meet others in your area who have going through the same thing we all have gone through, my support group is also very informative and is facilitated by a bariatric nutritional specialist and always has good eating and exersice tips and is just a great source of information.
