Hello all! I'm new to the group. My name is Nora. I'm 31 years old with 2 kids and married almost 13 years.
I have surgery this last Friday, August 16th 2019. I had the Roux en y procedure. Last night was my first night home. I had some leaks so a JP drain was placed which I sill have until at least Thursday at my 1 week follow up. Still having a fair amount of gas pains in my shoulder making it painful to get deep breaths.

Hi Nora... Welcome. Those gas pains can be the worse. Please walk as much as you can (without overdoing it); that's the best way to get rid of that gas. Hope all goes well for you during this 1st week. Please keep us posted. This is a caring and supportive group. Once again, welcome!

Thank you for the warm welcome! Been walking a bunch but the pain isn't going away as quickly as I would like. 1 week follow up with my surgeon tomorrow, YAY!!!!

DRAIN IS OUT!! Pain is greatly decreased. I'm a happy lady!!
