help having trouble with soft diet

eating to much. always hungry after two hours of eating. would like suggestions on how to cope.

What type foods are you eating? Soft protein foods like cottage cheese, eggs, tuna, salmon, flakey white fish will keep you satisfied much longer than carb type soft foods. You might call your surgeon's office to ask how big he made your pouch. My pouch only held 2 oz but I had a gastric bypass. Sleeve patients usually have a 3 or 4 oz pouch. Once you know how big your pouch is then be really careful not to over stretch it at this early date. You could weigh your food to be sure.

Good Luck

Cheyenne

I would hope you have a larger selection than just those 4 you mentioned.

I see egg beaters. I loved soft boiled eggs. Too many people worry about the yoke. Eggs have had a bad rap. It is good for you. One person's opinion backed up by more recent studies.

Also, you have the option to have protein shakes too. I used premier protein shakes. They come in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. I liked them all.

I don't understand the always hungry comment. I would have thought that you have no hunger. Is this real? Or is this psychological in which case I would want you to talk to your nutritionist as well as your bariatric psychologist. To this date I am never hungry. The sleeve is supposed to limit hunger as well.

As Cheyenne says, stay away from carbs. focus on protein for now.

Best wishes,

Ralph
