Hi from a newbie about to have surgery!

Hi, I'm Jenn and I'm having RnYB on Friday, 8/16. I'm super nervous and super excited about it, so needless to say - my autiDHD is in overdrive. But that's okay so long as I can still get my surgery.

Uh, not sure what all to say about myself. My husband is being supportive of the journey, and we have two dogs and three snakes as babies at the moment. But hopefully in the future after I lose the weight, we can add babies of our own to that list even if they are adopted into the family. If we had children right now, I would feel almost useless as a parent. Just taking the dogs out to the yard wears me out at this point, so I'm looking forward to getting healthy and finding out that there actually is an active person underneath all the blubber.

Looking forward to chatting and getting to know you all!

I already responded in another post but let me add that if you do internet searches for "bariatric surgery" or "RYGB" or even "weight loss surgery," you'll get hundreds of great links.. And my personal favorite, most trusted source is the Mayo Clinic website. They are very serious and knowledgeable about bariatric surgery of any type.

Best of luck to you, Jenn!

I understand being nervous and excited at the same time, I think we all understand that feeling when beginning a lifestyle change or aniticpated medical procedure, and you are doing both. Relax, stay organized, prepare, and I only wish I could have done it sooner. We look forward to helping you along this adventure.
