I have revision surgery on May 27th

Sure, a VBG is an old procedure called Vertical Banded Gastroplasty. They no longer perform this type of surgery due to too many long term complications. It is basically a stomach stapling combined with a salastic ring stutured into the opening creating a funnel effect. Over time scar tissue has clogged the opening causing severe restrictions. I can't eat anything without pain and vomiting. They couldn't even fit a pediatric endoscope camera through it.
The other was supposed to say RNY bypass.

Oh my God. You've really have been run through the wringer. I think it's really good that you're getting revised to RYGB. I may be biased, but I don't think so. The more I read about types of bariatric surgery, the more convinced I am that I made the right choice.

Thank you for your definitions and welcome to the group! I hope other revision-ers will pop up and share with you!
